Donovan Fan Clubs

The official fan club is now up and running, and Issue Two of The Magazine written by Donovan is now available. Subscription rates are as follows and for that you receive three issues of the magazine, a signed photograph and membership card.

You should send bankers drafts or cheques made payable to "Donovan ... The Magazine" or cash at your own risk.

They also have various merchandise available eg. Donovan's book of poetry She, T-shirts, etc. Donovan also wanted me to say that this is the fan club that he would like people to join. This is also the address to write to if you want Donovan to receive your letters. Here it is:


There is another fan club for Donovan called Donovan's Friends, ran by Pat Hehir. The address is also listed in the liner notes for Donovan Rising and The Classics Live.

Last, but by no means least, the third Donovan fan club on the scene called The Hurdy Gurdy Man, ran by a lady called Red. Unfortunately, it has now folded due to increased printing costs. The address, if anybody wants to write to Red, is:


Finally, there is another fan club in Ireland. It is a group of six people who all live in the Dublin area and got together six years ago when Don was appearing live there. They meet in The Lord Edward (a pub in the city centre of Dublin) roughly once a month, have a few drinks, and discuss Donovan. So, if you're ever over there pop in, I'm sure you'll be very welcome.
